The lead teacher ensures their teaching team (assistant teacher and teacher aide) provides a safe and educational learning environment for the children.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks Program Core Features o Provide high quality learning environment that incorporates evidence curriculum and instructional activities o Meet with Early Learning Coordinator on a weekly basis to review classroom and child data o Attend and participate in all scheduled trainings in support of ongoing professional development o Provide an enhanced curriculum focused on social-emotional development, early language and literacy, and physical development o Self reflects on own teaching practices and develops a continuous improvement plan based off a self-assessment tool.
Curriculum o Implement a program that focuses on the development of social and emotional intelligence o Positively engage with children and use appropriate Conscious Discipline methods, as outlined in CWCC's policy o Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices o Meet with assistant teacher and aide to review lesson plans and individual child goals and assign best teaching practices o Complete and submit required forms in a timely manner, including but not limited to:
lesson plans, portfolios, assessments, observations, transition plans Assessment o Provide ongoing observations and assessment of each child o Maintain documentation of each child's progress and growth with the support of the 40 Developmental Assets and the skills and structures of Conscious Discipline o Reviews and interprets assessment data to determine the needs of the classroom Home-School Connections o Conduct two parent-teacher conferences a year to discuss each child's individual development and progress o Communicate regularly with parents by means of such things as parent meetings and daily sheets o Interpret school program to parents to strengthen the understanding of the child's needs and the importance of an early learning environment for the continued development of the child Other o Attend staff and parent meetings, and school district coalition meetings as requested o In cooperation with other staff, complete daily cleaning duties o Carry out routine duties such as clean-up and the supervision of the children at all times o Ensure classroom materials, furniture, and supplies are properly maintained o Provide safe transportation to and from the child's assigned school during the school year and field trips during the summer o Any other duties assigned by center administration Basic Qualifications Associate degree in E.

Ability to walk, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods of time Assistant School Age Teacher Position Summary Under the direction of center administration and the lead teacher, the assistant teacher is responsible for the contribution of the coordinating and implementing individual education plans for school age children in kindergarten- age 12.
The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in providing a safe and educational learning environment for the children.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks Program Core Features o Provide high quality learning environment that incorporates evidence curriculum and instructional activities o Support the lead teacher to provide the highest quality of care to the classroom o Attend and participate in all scheduled trainings in support of ongoing professional development o Provide an enhanced curriculum focused on social-emotional development, early language and literacy, and physical development Curriculum o Positively engage with children and use appropriate Conscious Discipline methods, as outlined in CWCC's policy o Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices o Meet with lead teacher and aide to review lesson plans and individual child's goals and assign best teaching practices o Assist in the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote all developmental domains Assessment o Identify concerns or developmental milestones of primary care children to the lead teacher o Coordinate with the lead teacher and aide to develop activities and use instructional materials appropriate for preschoolers Home-School Connections o Develop relationships with families by providing open communication and encouraging parent input o Interpret school program to parents to strengthen the understanding of the child's needs and the importance of an early learning environment for the continued development of the child Other o Attend staff meetings, as requested o In cooperation with other staff, complete daily cleaning duties o Carry out routine duties such as clean- up and the supervision of the children at all times o Ensure classroom materials, furniture, and supplies are properly maintained o Provide safe transportation to and from the child's assigned school during the school year and field trips during the summer o Any other duties assigned by center administration Basic Qualifications C.
