Altamira is searching for a R&D Engineer/Developer in the Dayton, Ohio area with knowledge in the aerospace modeling and simulation domainJob
Responsibilities:
o Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
o Prototype solutions for estimating target/scene information from infrared sensor data.
o Test and integrate prototyped solutions to enhance existing research and development tools.
o Applies knowledge of mathematics, physics, and engineering to characterize and enhance algorithm performance.
o Implement analytical approaches based on knowledge of traditional programming languages.
o Ensures software standards are metDevelop using Python, MATLAB, C+
and/or other programming languages approved by the government.
o Develop and produce reports on algorithm development/enhancement, tools, and data sources.
o Support systems engineering processes in requirements analysis, validation, change control, and incorporating software information into appropriate engineering reviews.
o Developing and maintaining program level documentation Software Development Plan
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or relevant technical field.
o Must be a U.
SCitizen.
o Active TS/SCI Clearance (will consider Secret Collateral on case-by-case basis).
o Prefer 5
years of engineering and/or software development experience.
