Information Systems Generalist
Job Description:
Perform information systems administrative procedures and maintains documentation that covers two or more functional areas including data control, applications training, data coordination and scheduling, and data security administration.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Work under immediate supervision; typically reports to a supervisor.
Apply knowledge to provide technical security services relative to the development, acquisition and sustainment of weapon systems, and subsystems.
Assist with implementation of Information Security, Communications Security, Force Protection and Anti-Terrorism programs.
Apply knowledge of program protection, technology control, system security and related DOD and customer instructions.
Assist with protection planning including defining the methods and actions needed for the protection of weapon systems throughout their life cycle.
Required Skills and
Experience:
- Active Secret clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain required clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Strong understanding of the weapon systems and associated support systems.
- Ability to work with the team in the preparation and maintenance of data requirements for government proposal requests, contracts and contract modifications.
- Thorough knowledge with system security.
- Ability to identify and develop and maintain Program Protection Plan.
- Demonstrated experience in working with various team members in implementing the actions as determined by Subject Matter Experts.
- Ability to facilitate development of Critical Program Items list and Criticality Analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Work is generally performed in a normal office environment where there is minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
Job assignments may require working at client site where working conditions may vary.
Travel may be required.
